Sever rent and RDP setup

Server rent

(based on https://selectel.ru/ example)

You may choose any other service provider. Below are some examples:

  • Open the official website of your chosen platform for renting a cloud server; (further steps are described for the Selectel data center. Depending on the website you have chosen, some sections may differ.);

  • In the upper right corner, select Control Panel and register on the site;

  • After successful registration, return to the site and select the Dedicated Servers tab. Then click on Prebuilt Servers;

  • Choose the right server based on the minimum system requirements:

  1. Intel® Core ™ i5 processor or equivalent (Intel® Core ™ i7 recommended);

  2. Random access memory (RAM) - 16 Gb (recommended 32 Gb);

  3. Video card with support for OpenGL 2.0 or higher;

  4. The server must have a graphics block (GPU).

  5. Operating system: Windows 10.

We recommend that you contact website support to help you find the right server.

  • After selecting the desired server, you need to top up in your personal account and make a payment;

 Within an hour after payment (depending on the site, the waiting time may differ) you will receive an email with all the necessary information to connect to the server via remote desktop (ID, UserName, Password).

You have successfully connected to the remote server!

Please note! For the emulator to work you will need to install the motherboard driver (to enable OpenGL).

Driver download link: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/29988/Intel-Graphics-Windows-10-DCH-Drivers?product=126790;
Please use the link on your remote desktop, not on your local PC, from which you are connecting.

Note: drivers on the site are constantly updated. To download the current version, click on the yellow message at the top of the screen. In the window that opens, on the left is the “Available Downloads” block. Click the “Download” button to download the file.

Important! Driver installer must be run as administrator! To do this, right-click on the file and select “Run as administrator”.

Run the downloaded file, install drivers and reboot the system.

If you accidentally installed Intel® drivers not as an administrator, then the following situation may occur: when you launch LDPlayer you might get an error “Sorry, but version OpenGL is too low, please upgrade your graphics driver!”

To solve this problem you need to install the beta version of the current driver version. This action will overwrite previously installed libraries. To do this, follow this link (please note that the driver version is constantly updated. To find the current driver version, enter Intel® HD Graphics 630 in the search bar).

After that run the downloaded file as administrator, overwrite the existing driver libraries and reboot the system.

OpenGL should be updated to version 4.6 and LDPlayer should start running without errors. Now you can either use the current driver version or, if you wish, reinstall the latest version from the Intel® website.

It is important to note that LDPlayer can conflict with antiviruses, particularly with Avast and Kaspersky Internet Security. In order to avoid errors, it is recommended to disable or remove all antiviruses first. If you cannot uninstall Avast from the Add / Remove Programs menu, use the following utility from the official program website: https://files.avast.com/iavs9x/avastclear.exe.
